The most important reasons why I choose not to use pilkers are: It’s quite boring (jigging up and down all day long seems like work to me) You miss most of the bigger fish (much more than you think!) It’s a very poor way to fish for halibut and coalfish (and these fish are super cool to catch!) I prefer light tackle because it’s so much more fun
